Oakhill Fiduciary Support Services (Oakhill FSS) is an independently owned business focused primarily on preparing Inventories and Accountings for Estates and Trusts. Oakhill FSS works with individuals and legal or tax professionals to assist them with their various fiduciary responsibilities related to the proper reporting of the financial activities of estates and trusts for which they are responsible.

Bill Pierce, the owner and founder of Oakhill FSS, has over 40 years in the trust and estate industry and has prepared hundreds of Inventories and Accountings in his various roles in the Estate and Trust field working in bank Trust Departments, CPA firms, and law firms.

Thank you for your interest in Oakhill Fiduciary Support Services. I am often asked about the reference to “Oakhill” in my company’s name. Oakhill is the name of the street in Southeastern Virginia where I grew up. It was then, and remains today, a quiet neighborhood which is family oriented and is great for walking or riding bikes. There are older homes, newer homes, and newly renovated homes. For me, Oakhill reminds me of a time of family activities and the freedom to ride our bikes throughout the neighborhood or play pick-up basketball or football games with friends. 

 

Including Oakhill in the name of this company is my way of honoring my parents who taught my sister, me, and her grandchildren the value of hard work and integrity. They also instilled in us the necessity to remember, honor, and build on the work of previous generations in order to benefit current and future generations. Just as the old neighborhood continues to renew itself, our personal foundations should remain strong and capable of being improved over time.

 

I think the Oakhill portion of the name is appropriate for this business because to me it symbolizes more than the transfer of wealth from one generation to the next but also, and more importantly, the transmission of values through personal and family legacies.
